Who? Me? Confused?

Friday is a holiday. That makes Thursday the party night. There are no party places. That makes Thursday night quite like the other nights. Saturday is a working day. So is Sunday. That makes Monday feel like Wednesday. Or more like Thursday, since Thursdays are always full of hope.

But how can Monday give anyone any hope? Monday eats small hopes and wishes for breakfast! But here it does. Since Tuesday is right there, just a clinch away from Thursday. Which is a party day. Almost. Friday feels like Sunday, and that only leaves us a question how can anybody hate Saturday!

You see, I am hopelessly confused. I have lost the track of time. Or days more likely. They seem to have a different meaning here. But that is not the only thing that is different. Traffic driving the "wrong" side of the road makes also people coming at you and pass you by on the wrong side. Never have I had this much spontaneous "pavement polkas" and "footpath walzes". You know what I mean.

Just to give you another example how the life is different here. My friend told me at the dinner table:

"Ahem! Here we eat with our fingers. Cant you do it?"

"Of course I can. I learned how to eat with my fingers when I was 9 months old. By that time I could move my food closer to my mouth also with my feet and sometimes even with my ears. Then I developed and learned how to use spoon, knife and fork." I replied sarcastically, but put away my fork and took my fingers out instead...

"Ahem! Here we eat with our right hand." He went on.

"Really? Why is that then?"

"Because we think our left hand is dirty." He added very self-knowledgeable.

"Oh! ok. How is that then?"

"Hmm, well you see. We clean our, youknowwhat, with our left hand." He almost whispered.

"Hmm...How about the right hand then? Its not dirty?"

"Oh no my dear friend! We think right hand is clean."

"I see, I see. Well, WE think that OUR left hand is clean, if WE wash it. OUR right hand can be also dirty, but if WE wash it, then it is not! And WE also think that wiping ones ass is not a team work, but a rather personal matter." I said in a loud, a bit frustrated, voice.

*silence*

"I better stick to the fork. My right hand gets all dirty." I ended the conversation.

Interesting facts

Did you know that the rainy season has started. From now on expect heavy showers and thunder storms. The temperature drops (hopefully!) a little and the floods might cause problems.

Yesterday a storm sank one ship. 200 people drowned.
